What is Reiki?
The word 'Reiki' is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki is an ancient form of healing which was rediscovered and further developed in the early 1900s by Mikao Usui. It is believed to support the body's own natural healing ability. It is a gentle and relaxing treatment and is safe to use on everybody.
I first received Reiki treatment following a health crisis and it helped me get back on an even keel again. I was so impressed with how it had helped me, that I decided to learn more and ended up training in Reiki to Master level. As a registered homeopath, I am passionate about improving people's health and wellbeing in a natural, holistic way.
Reiki is a complementary therapy and not a substitute for medical treatment. You should always consult your doctor if you are unwell.

What does Reiki treatment involve?
To receive Reiki treatment, you lie fully clothed on a therapy bed while I use my hands to apply either light pressure over your body, or merely hover over it.
While receiving treatment you will feel very relaxed and may also experience other sensations such as warmth or tingling. Whether you feel anything or not makes no difference to the effectiveness of the Reiki you receive.
Your first Reiki session will last about 90 minutes. Subsequent sessions will last about 60 minutes.
I also offer Distant Healing sessions if you prefer.
